YKK is the global leader in the production of zips, and exhibitor Jones Buttons, one of its first UK distributors in 1970, brings more than 50 years of knowledge and expertise in YKK products to the show.
“Selecting the appropriate zip is just as important as choosing the right button,” says Jones Buttons Chairman John Ashley. “In both instances, they can play different roles, from being discreet to becoming the focal point of a design.” Helping designers find the perfect zip for a specific application is part of the service Jones provides. YKK’s collection is extensive, offering everything from skirt zips and tent zips to waterproof zips for diving suits.

YKK collaborated with Yuima Nakazato and Seiko Epson Corporation to develop a concept version of its premium EXCELLA® zipper series featuring zipper tape made from non-woven fabric sheets created by fibreising used clothing and other textile materials. The concept zipper was incorporated into INFERNO, the latest couture collection by YUIMA NAKAZATO, unveiled in Paris on 8 July 2026.
